VUB's crisis 'com plan' went into swift action: close communication lines between University leaders, Brussels educational institutes and government officials were established rapidly.All communication efforts were aligned successfully: Press and media, websites, VUB Today, social media platforms, Email campaigns and even SMS alerts. The SMS campaigning was honoured in 'De Tijd', the important Belgian newsletter.

All this resulted in over 30 000 visitor sessions on VUB Today in only 5 days time! Feedback from the VUB community on the messaging was very positive.
