Fair season: an on -going effort!

Last week, the VUB recruitment team was present on the annual educational fair in Utrecht (Netherlands) to get the best Dutch Bachelor and Master students to Brussels.

Crisis communication for Level 4 alerts

VUB's crisis 'com plan' went into swift action: close communication lines between  University leaders, Brussels educational institutes and government officials were established rapidly.

All communication efforts were aligned successfully: Press and media, websites, VUB Today, social media platforms, Email campaigns and even SMS alerts. The SMS campaigning was honoured in 'De Tijd', the important Belgian newsletter.

All this resulted in over 30 000 visitor sessions on VUB Today in only 5 days time! Feedback from the VUB community on the messaging was very positive.

Resultaat? We bereikten zo maar even 70 000 mensen in 1 actie. Sociale media groeien steeds verder in onze communicatie.

Profile pages for Professors: first release

From now on everyone at VUB has the opportunity to create their very own VUB profile page. This means: professors can make up their own page, combining their personal and contact details with the subjects they are teaching at the time.  Relevant information is in this way combined from the site, CALI and even Pure, following the filosofy of maintaining (single) unique sources.

Basic information will in this way be updated automatically. The profile pages will not only be used for PR purposes of staff, they will integrated in the broader VUB communication. More features, like multimedia, are therefore to be added.
